Dale Views
The Garth sits prominently in the valley at Gunnerside, with a position that many guests say gives the finest views in the Yorkshire Dales. From the moment you arrive, the sweep of Swaledale — stretching up to the high moors and down through the patchwork of stone walls and meadows — sets the tone for your stay.
The property has been thoughtfully designed to make the most of its surroundings. Large windows wrap around the house, framing the dale from almost every room and flooding the interior with light. The living room centres on the view, has a crackling open fire, and a fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering a pleasure. Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests comfortably, with everything you need for a relaxed countryside escape.
Gunnerside is a quietly beautiful village deep in Swaledale — unspoilt, unhurried, and perfectly placed for walking, cycling, and exploring the national park. The Garth is an ideal base whether you're here for the fells or simply to slow down and take in one of England's most breathtaking landscapes.
